EQUIPPING STAFF FOR A CLIMATE-SMART FUTURE

Today, November 28, 2024, the Institute for Agricultural Research, Ahmadu Bello University, hosted a step-down training on the application of Foresight tools, led by the Dr. Haratu Dauda, Head of Monitoring and Evaluation Unit. This engaging session brought together selected staff members and empowered them with essential skills to implement climate-smart agri-food systems.

Foresight tools are cutting-edge methods designed to anticipate future trends, analyze potential challenges, and create informed strategies for sustainable agricultural practices. These tools play a critical role in building resilient and adaptive agri-food systems in the face of climate change.

Representing the Executive Director, Prof. D.I. Adekpe, Programme Leader Cotton Research Programme, lauded the training initiative. He reaffirmed IAR’s commitment to equipping staff with the latest innovations to address emerging agricultural challenges and drive sustainable solutions.
