Today, 2nd December 2024, the Institute for Agricultural
Research (IAR), Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, proudly took part in the
National Agricultural Extension Review and Planning Meeting (NAERPM) organized
by the National Agricultural Extension and Research Liaison Services (NAERLS)
at NAERLS headquarters in ABU Zaria.
Representing IAR at the event were the Executive Director, Prof. Ado Yusuf, the Assistant Director Extension, Monitoring and Evaluation, Prof. A.I. Sharifai, and the Head of Agricultural Extension Unit, Dr. Sharhabil M. Yahaya.
In addition to active participation, IAR set up an exhibition
pavilion showcasing groundbreaking agricultural technologies. The pavilion
became a hub of attraction for visitors, reflecting IAR’s pivotal role in
advancing sustainable agricultural practices.
During the event, Prof. Ado Yusuf delivered a goodwill message
where he congratulated NAERLS for the excellent organization of the meeting. He
emphasized the importance of synergy among agricultural institutions to enhance
extension services, strengthen farmer productivity, and improve food security
across Nigeria.
The NAERPM served as an exceptional platform for reviewing past successes, planning future activities, and exchanging innovative ideas, with IAR firmly at the forefront.
