Today, November 14, 2024, students from Government Day Secondary School, Kofar Doka, Zaria, embarked on an insightful excursion to the Institute for Agricultural Research, Ahmadu Bello University. The visit offered these young minds a hands-on experience with groundbreaking agricultural research and innovations happening right in their community.
The students, accompanied by their teachers, had the opportunity to tour various facilities, interact with researchers, and learn about the significant work being done to advance sustainable agriculture. From advanced seed production to modern agricultural technologies, they explored diverse areas that highlight how research can support food security and resilience.
